An ap sport suspension consists of a combination of ap rebound springs with specially shortened dampers. This way you can lower your car even more than just with a spring kit. An ap coilover kit is a sport suspension kit that gives you the possibility to decide the lowering yourself. With the thread on the strut, you can vary the height continuously.
OEM dampers or sport dampers without adjustable spring perchs, which are approved by the damper manufacturer for this vehicle type and which match the measurements (end stop, damper tube, positive travel way) of the stock part. The negative travel way may be shortened by the dimension of the lowering. For a lowering of more than 40 mm we recommend to use shortened sport dampers to improve the driving characteristics.
Before the installation you need to check if the vehicle is in the field of application (article I of the TÜV certificate). You need to pay special attention to the axle load limit!
The head lights have to be set up new. The specified set up of the head lights have to be checked.

We as manufacturer check the *clearance* of the tyre equipment always with the original tyres. If you have built in a different wheel-tire-combination, we are not able to inform you about the tyre clearance. If there is not enough tyre clearance, you will have to make sure to get it for example thru beading or fender extension.

No, the galvanized ap suspensions are absolutely maintenance free. The dampers are protected from the elements by their seal package and dust protection system.
Due to the high quality components, galvanized steel struts and multiple sealing, this is not necessary. But after the winter, it is advisable to clean the thread for an easy setting of the desired lowering. To clean the suspension from all the salt and dirt, it is recommended to use a damp cloth. Sometimes it already helps to dip a brush in lukewarm water with soap and to clean the sturt. At heavy dirt, clean with a brush. It‘s best to take to a wheel cleaning brush. Please do not use a wire brush! You could spray the thread afterwards with a metal care product.
To be honest, tuned vehicles with an extreme lowering beyond the approved lowering range look really good at events and meetings as well as in magazines. But latest during the ride home, the „Show & Shine Grenade“ turns into a „Trailer Queen“ or creeps on the streets. Because extreme lowerings have a price: We not only talk about the deficit of sportiness or the loss of driveability. With extreme lowerings it comes to premature material fatigue and technical defects and therefore the safety of vehicle occupants and other road users is at risk. The drive shafts are damaged and this can even result in greater damage. By the used bump stops, the suspension can no longer work as it is supposed to and the shocks and vibrations are passed to the body only minimally damped. The top mounts suffer, all the rubber bushings in the suspension geometry can get damaged and in the interior, creaking noises and rattles may occur after a while.
